Objective

In order to develop and enhance the food processing industries in the state, Comprehensive Agro Business Policy has been launched

Objective

Setting up: 1) Processing plants, 2) Cold chains/Food irradiation plants/Pack houses, 3) Modernization projects, 4) Purchase of reefer vans

Benefits

1) Up to 25% capital investment subsidy for max INR 50 lakh investment in projects concerning modernization of agriculture, 2) Up to 25% capital investment subsidy in projects costing up to INR 5 Crore for setting up cold chains, food irradiation plants, pack houses etc., 3) Up to 25% subsidy on project up to INR 2.5 Crore for setting up processing centers/collection centers in Rural areas, 4) Up to 25% subsidy on project costing up to 50 lakh for setting up reefer vans

Eligibility

Any legal entity such as Govt/PSU/Joint ventures/NGOs/Cooperatoves/SHGs/Pvt. Sector corporation/individuals engaged in agro and food processing would be eligible. However, he/she should have: 1) Sound financial background. The networth of the application = Total Assets - Total liability of the application should be more than 1.5 times the grant applied for, 2) The project proposals should be prepared and be appraised by bank/financial instituion for availing loan.
