Beneficiary Type: Farmer
The main objective of the scheme is to : 1) Identify and locate availability of good quality and high milk producing milk animals for breeding purposes, 2) To educate cattle owners for rearing the cattle in scientific manner and to make awareness and encourage livestock owner to keep good high yield animal for the year
To encourage better dairy animal management by rewarding farmers whose cattle yield the highest milk production.
Competition of milk yield which rewards from INR 51,000 to INR 5000 for the winners and runner ups of the contest
The farmer should have any of the following breeds: 1) Gir/Kankrej Cow, 2) Jersey Sankar Cow, 3) HF Sankar Cow, 4) Jaffrabadi Buffalo, 5) Surati Buffalo, 6) Mehsaani Buffalo, 7) Banni Buffalo, 8) ND Buffalo
The applicant shall obtain the application form from nearest Govt. Veternary Center and pay a fee of INR 100 as a participation fee and submit the same to Veternary Center. The applicant will have to fill the designated day for milking of livestock and the inspection team from the Animal Husbandry department shall attend the session and measure and inspect the milk yield
