In order to develop and enhance the food processing industries in the state, Comprehensive Agro Business Policy has been launched
The purpose of the Sea-Freight Subsidy is to reduce the cost of shipping goods by sea for businesses or individuals, particularly those in remote or less accessible areas, to improve trade and economic activity while promoting regional development.
1) 25% subsidy on air freight for max. INR 10 lakh per year per unit (product), 2) For organic produce, upto 40% subsidy on sea freight for max INR 15 lakh per year per unit, 3) 25% subsidy on sea freight for up to max INR 10 lakh for export of horticulture produce
Any legal entity such as Govt/PSU/Joint ventures/NGOs/Cooperatoves/SHGs/Pvt. Sector corporation/individuals engaged in agro and food processing would be eligible. However, he/she should be exportin the produce of Gujarat Origin and the application should be made within 180 days from export otherwise the application will not be considered.
