The purpose of the Vidyalakshmi Bond Scheme was to encourage and promote girls' education in Gujarat by providing a financial incentive for continued schooling, aiming to reduce dropout rates, especially in rural areas.

Eligibility

The student should be a girl child and should be enroled in the secondary school. In addition, the literacy rate of the village should be less than 35% and the girl student should be from BPL family
