To avoid decrease in the numbers of local pure breed of Cow namely Gir and Kankrej and increase it to be properly maintained in the State
The purpose of the Intensive Cattle Development Programme is to enhance milk production and improve rural livelihoods through better breeding, healthcare, and management of cattle and buffaloes.
Cash reward of INR 3000 per female calf born through artificial insemination by pure breeding in indigenous cow (once per animal)
The female calf should be born through AI by pure breding. The certificiate of artificial insemination from qualified veternarian is a must. One person per year for one female calf is eligible for benefit of this scheme.
Apply through Ikhedut portal along with following documents: 1) Duely filled application form, 2) Cancelled bank cheque or xerox of first page of pass book, 3) Ration card (barcoded version), 4) Certificate of AI done from whom AI is carried out (as mentioned in online application), 5) Aadhar card, 6) For approval of application form, print out the online applicatio and submit to the nearest veterinary officer or veterinary dispensary
