The purpose of the BCK-8 scheme is to support Scheduled Caste (SC) students in Gujarat by providing financial aid for private coaching in the general stream, helping them improve their academic outcomes and access better educational opportunities.
The scheme provides following expenses: 1) INR 8000 limited to actual expense per annum for Std 11 and for Std 12 of amount of INR 4000 limited to actual expense, 2) First 100 students who clear the SSC exam in General stream and are admitted to Std 11 with 75% score, are provided with once a year tuition fees financial assistance of INR 8000 in std 11 and in Std 12, financial assistance for tuition fees of INR 4000
1) Students having score of 75% or more in general stream, 2) Total family income should not be more than INR 60,000 per annum
