Beneficiary Type: Farmer
To promote modern and efficient farming practices by encouraging the use of drone technology for spraying fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs, while reducing farmers' operational costs and improving coverage and precision.
The purpose of the scheme is to encourage the use of drone technology in agriculture for efficient spraying, to reduce manual labor, save time and resources, and ensure uniform application of inputs across large fields, ultimately leading to increased productivity and farmer welfare.
Promotes the use of advanced drone technology in agriculture. Ensures uniform and precise spraying of inputs like fertilizers and pesticides. Reduces labor cost and physical effort for farmers. Saves time and resources in large-scale farming. Increases crop yield and productivity. Minimizes farmers’ exposure to harmful chemicals. Provides financial assistance to reduce spraying costs.
Applicant must be a resident farmer of the respective state. The farmer must have a valid landholding document or land ownership proof. Assistance is applicable for spraying done through drones only. The farmer must be registered under the agriculture department or relevant authority. A maximum of 5 acres per spray per farmer is eligible for assistance. Assistance will not be given for manual or machine-based spraying without drone use.
