Beneficiary Type: Farmer
In order to improve the farm extension services and improve the capacity, knowledge and skills of the farmers in regards to latest methods, tools and technology regarding farming, ATMA agency was established in each district.
The purpose of the ATMA schemes is to provide farmers with technological support, training, and resources to improve agricultural practices and increase productivity.
Exposure of farmers to best practices in agriculture and demonstration/visits
Under ATMA, Farmer Interest Group (FIG) needs to be established with 11-25 farmers in one group. These FIGs are registered through the project director of the ATMA of respective district. A registration fee of INR 250 per group is charged.
