To expedite notification of state-specific seed varieties with support from ICAR, CAUs, and SAUs to ensure wider availability of assistance and adoption.
Enhances domestic oilseed production by supporting farmers with quality inputs, improved technology, and infrastructure to reduce edible oil imports and increase incomes.
Farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, and state agencies engaged in oilseed cultivation and related activities as notified by the Government of India are eligible under the NMEO-OS scheme.
