The state government provides holistic development schemes for fishery industry as well as protecting the 405 km coastal line of the State of Gujarat. These schemes are aimed to improve the livelihood, security and welfare of the poor fisherman as well as fishing industry as a whole
Purchase of equipment for sweet water fish breeding
Subsidy ranging from 40% to 60% for inputs such as fertilizers, seeds and equipment for sweet water breeding
1) The scheme is only open to areas where sweet water resources are located and where applicant is already a breeder, 2) The scheme benefits can be availed only once per beneficiary for any sweet water body from min. 0.5 hectare to 10 hectares, 3) The scheme benefits will only be availed once the government officer verifies that the particular lake has not been approved for input scheme previously
