The objective of the scheme is to: 1) To acquaint farmers with improve fodders and help them to routinely use the fodder minikits and information related to fodder are provided by seed development centers, 2) To prevent wastage of fodder in animal feed and subsequent loss to farmer, subsidy on purchase of hand operated chaff cutter is provided to the farmers, 3) To protect livestock and livestock production from adverse climatic effects
To promote fodder cultivation and ensure year-round availability of nutritious feed for livestock.
Provision of free fodder seeds, demonstration and provision of fodder kit to each farmer
Any farmer having 10 Guntha of land and belonging to any caste can avail benefits of this scheme
