To provide financial assistance to minority students and promote school education among economically weaker sections.
The purpose of the Pre-Matric Scholarship for students of Minority Communities is to support and encourage the education of financially disadvantaged minority students at the school level.
The scheme provides following benefits to students of religious minorities: 1) Sstd 1 to 5: Yearly Stipend of INR 1000 for day scholar, 2) For Std 6 to 10: INR 6,000 per year for hostel student and INR 1000 for day scholar
1) the student must be from religious minorities (i.e. Musim, Christian, Parsis, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain), 2) Student must be studying in Std 1 to 10 and should have scored atleast 50% in previous annual examination, 3) The annual household income of the applicant should not be more than INR 1 lakh
