To make hank yarn available at subsidized price to eligible beneficiaries to facilitate handloom sector to compete with mill sector
to provide financial support to handloom weavers by offering subsidies on the purchase of hank yarn, dyes, and chemicals. This initiative helps reduce the cost of raw materials for weavers, improving their productivity and sustainability in the handloom industry.
Hank Yarn Subsidy provides a 40% subsidy on yarn, dyes, and chemicals, reducing costs for handloom weavers. This helps increase affordability, boosting productivity and sustainability in the handloom sector.
All weavers who posses Yarn Passbook issued by DIC can be eligible for this scheme. For issuance of the yarn passbook please contact your nearest District Industries Center (DIC)
