The state government provides holistic development schemes for fishery industry as well as protecting the 405 km coastal line of the State of Gujarat. These schemes are aimed to improve the livelihood, security and welfare of the poor fisherman as well as fishing industry as a whole
Purchase of fish seed hatchery
Up to 50% subsidy for purchase of fish seed hatchery
1) the applicant must provide evidence that he/she has knowledge of fish seed and breeding or will need to attend the Fish seed produce and breeding training center for training of the same, 2) The applicant must posses license for fishing as per Gujarat State Fishery Act 2003, 3) The applicant must have ownership of the land and must provide evidence for the same during the application for construction of fish hatchery or if the land is rented or leased then a lease deed or rental agreement will be required, 4) The applicant must provide estimation for cost from qualified civil engineer and also obtain completion certificate from qualified civil engineer, 5) The application should be approved prior to construction of fish hatchery
