Assistance of Back Ended Interest Subsidy on the Term Loan for Agro and Food Processing Units

Objective

In order to develop and enhance the food processing industries in the state, Comprehensive Agro Business Policy has been launched

Objective

1) Setting up cold chains, food irradiation plants, silos, food parks, reefer vans etc related to food processing, 2) Setting up moderization of food processing units

Benefits

1) Up to 7.5% subisdy on term loan for max. amount of INR 4 Crore for setting up infrastructure projects such atmosphere cold storages, food irradiaion plants, silos, food parks, reefer vans, 2) Interest subsidy of 7.5% on term loan of max INR 1.5 Crore for modernization of any form of food processing units

Eligibility

Any legal entity such as Govt/PSU/Joint ventures/NGOs/Cooperatoves/SHGs/Pvt. Sector corporation/individuals engaged in agro and food processing would be eligible. However, he/she should have: 1) Sound financial background. The networth of the application = Total Assets - Total liability of the application should be more than 1.5 times the grant applied for, 2) The project proposals should be prepared and be appraised by bank/financial instituion for availing loan.
