Beneficiary Type: Student
This scheme is being implemented to reduce the dropout rates of Scheduled Caste students studying in Std 9 and 10 and to help their parents financially for their children's education.
To provide financial assistance to SC students of Std 9 and 10 to encourage their continued education and reduce dropout rates.
1) Scholarship of INR 3500 for non resident student of Std 9 and 10 and INR 7000 for hostel student of Std 9 and 10 per Year, 2) Annual grant of INR 750 for non resident student of Std 9 and 10 and INR 1000 per annum for hostel student of Std 9 and 10 for books and adhoc grant
1) Scheduled caste students should be studying in standard 9 and 10, 2) Students benefiting under this scheme will not get any benefit under any pre-matric scholarship scheme, 3) The income limit of the family of the beneficiary should not exceed INR 2 lakh
