The state government provides holistic development schemes for fishery industry as well as protecting the 405 km coastal line of the State of Gujarat. These schemes are aimed to improve the livelihood, security and welfare of the poor fisherman as well as fishing industry as a whole
Purchase of culture cage
Up to 50% subsidy on purchase of culture cage
The scheme is valid for the regions where sweet water lakes are available. The applicant must obtain prior approval from relevant line department before applying for subsidy. The equipment shall be purchased only from empanelled agencies identified by the Government. The subsidy shall be remitted to the beneficiary's account via RTGS. The field verification of the location shall also be conducted by the Line department officer. The benefit of the scheme can only be availed once per beneficiary
