1) To improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age-group 0.6 to 6 years, 2) To lay the foundation for proper psychological, physical and social development of the child, 3) To reduce the incidence of mortality, malnutrition and school dropout, 4) To achieve effective co –ordination of policy and implementation amongst the various departments to promote child development, 5) To enhance the capability of the mother to look after the normal health and nutritional need of the child through proper nutrition and health education
The purpose of the **Take Home Ration (THR)** scheme is to improve the nutritional status of children, pregnant and lactating women, and adolescent girls, thereby addressing malnutrition and promoting overall health and well-being in underdeveloped and tribal areas. The scheme provides fortified food to enhance nutrition, reduce deficiencies, and support the growth and development of the beneficiaries.

No application required. However, mother/father of the children must have their children attend AWC
