The state government provides holistic development schemes for fishery industry as well as protecting the 405 km coastal line of the State of Gujarat. These schemes are aimed to improve the livelihood, security and welfare of the poor fisherman as well as fishing industry as a whole
Subsidy for purchase of sea fishing boats
Up to 25% subsidy on the purchase cost of the engine for sea fishing boats
1) The application shall be made on ikhedut portal and applicant shall obtain approval for subsidy from related line department at district level, 2) In addition, the applicant shall obtain letter of no objection mentioning that the applicant has applied and availed benefit for this scheme for first time, 3) The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat State, 4) The boat of the applicant should be registered under "Real Craft", 5) The applicant must be owner of a boat with appropriate license and registration, 6) The scheme is only for engines above 200 HP, 7) The applicant shall purchase the equipment from approved vendor of Government and must submit a bill with GST Number to district fishery department, 8) The applicant shall have to furnish loan disbursement letter along with loan account information during application process, 9) The benefit of this scheme can only be availed if the applicant has applied for a loan from bank, 10) This scheme benefit can only be availed once per applicant/beneficiary, 11) The line department will verify that usage of engine is for fishing purposes only through field inspection
