Objective

The objective of the schem is to provide financial support in form of interest free lon provided by SFAC to qualifying projects to meet shortfall in capital requirement for implementation of the project

Objective

The purpose of the Venture Capital Assistance Scheme was to promote agribusiness entrepreneurship by providing financial support to enhance rural income and employment in the agricultural sector.

Benefits

Financial assistance for various projects for expansion up to max. INR 50 lakhs or 26% of equity value of applicant )(Whichever is lower)

Eligibility

The projects should either in the field of agriculture or related to agri industry such as poultry or dairy. The project should provide assured market to FPC, project should ecourage farmers to diversify in to high value crops to increase farm incomes, the project should be accepted by notified financial institution for grant of the term loan. In addition, cost of the project should be atleast INR 15 lakh and INR 10 lakh above for normal and hilly regions respectively and the max. cost of the project cannot exceed INR 5 crore.

Application Method

The application form can be downloaded from SFAC website under VCA scheme tab. The application form must be submitted to one of the 41 banks empanelled with SFAC for application process. To view the list of the 41 banks please refer the following link: http://sfacindia.com/vcaonlineapplication.aspx The documents to be attached with the application include: 1) Promoter's request letter addresed to MD, SFAC, New Delhi on original letter head, 2) Sanction letter of the sanctioning authority addressed to recommending branch, 3) Bank's approved appraisal/process note bearing signature of sanctioning authority with terms of the sanction of term loan, 4) Up to date statement of account of term loan and cash credit (if sanctioned), 5) Equity certificate, 6) Farmer's list/backward linkage duly supported by agreement, 7) Affidavit of promoters that they have not availed VCA in the past, 8) Unsecured loans raised by promoters (if any) CA certificate for the same to enclosed, 9) Copy of the last bank's inspection report, 10) Bank confirmation that they will not release primary and collateral security without SFAC consent, 11) Justification for margin on working capital taken in the project cost

The appliation form can be downloaded from SFAC website and submitted with requisite documents and duly filled application form to one of the 41 empanelled banks
